The United States have warned of using military force against North Korea in response to later launch of a ballistic missile and also hit out at China and Russia for supporting the Kim Jong Un regime.
Haley warned Pyongyang that while the U.S. doesn’t seek conflict, it is prepared to use force if necessary.
“One of our capabilities lies with our considerable military forces. We will use them if must, but we prefer not to have to go in that direction,” she said.
US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley told at at an emergency Security Council meeting in the United Nations yesterday that the actions by Pyongyang made the world a more dangerous place. She said, the illegal missile launch was not only dangerous, but reckless and irresponsible.
Calling out on China, Ms Haley said much of the burden of enforcing UN sanctions against North Korea rests with Beijing as 90 per cent of trade with North Korea is from China.
While she said US will work with China, at the same time she warned that some countries are allowing and even encouraging trade with North Korea in violation of UN Security Council resolutions.
