At least three gunmen wearing suicide vests attacked a national television and radio station in Jalalabad in Afghanistan, today. Police said, the attackers entered Radio Television Afghanistan (RTA) and engaged in a gun battle with security forces.

According to media reports two of them have been killed and one is still resisting said the police. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.

Islamic State insurgents are active in Nangarhar province, of which Jalalabad is the capital. Last month the US military dropped its largest non- nuclear bomb in Nangarhar, killing dozens of IS militants.
