Aam Aadmi Party will hold a pro farmers rally at Jantar Mantar in protest against Land Acquisition Bill. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will be present at the agitation, along with other senior leaders of the party. Slamming NDA government over the Land Bill, AAP said farmers have not been given any support by the government.
Briefing media persons in New Delhi today, party spokesperson Kumar Vishvas said, AAP has been opposing Narendra Modi government’s attitude towards farmers affected by crop damage due to unseasonal rains. He also criticised Congress for what he called a new found interest in the plight of farmers.
Mr Vishwas said the AAP government in Delhi has taken serious view of the hardships endured by farmers and has announced highest compensation.
Party leader Sanjay Singh accused Modi government of working for industrialists and said there is great anger among the farmers.
