Prominent women from the different walks of life in India on Tuesday called upon the government and the other agencies to empower women entrepreneurs to give a fillip to Indian industries.

The call came ahead of the decision of NITI Ayog to hold a global summit on entrepreneurship in India. The summit is being held on November 28-29 and will be addressed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The US government is partnership the even with the collaboration of FICCI.

A conference was held in the run up to the summit here at Amiercan Centre where many top women leaders including BJP MP Meenaxi Lelkhi delivered key note address dealing with the several aspects relating to start-ups like finance, investment, mentoring and human capital.

Focussed on the role of entrepreneurship in women empowerment the event that where many a women stalwarts deliberated upon the issue, was held in the back drop of GES set up in 2010. The main event will be held in Hyderabad where over 1500 participants would issue the subjects at length.
