Wants to become Manipur CM

Irom Sharmila Chanu, the Iron lady of Manipur human today broke her 16-year-old hunger strike. Soon after she broke her fast, Sharmila said she will join politics and wants to be chief minister of Manipur to bring about a positive change in the state.
Earlier today speaking briefly to mediapersons at the verge of leaving the court complex of Chief Judicial Magistrate(CJM), Imphal West, she said that she is determined to change her strategy to fight against the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act.
She said that she will remove the Act from Manipur when she becomes Chief Minister of the state. She also appealed to all concerned not to take her decision in a negative perspective.
Irom Sharmila, took people particularly human rights defenders and her family members by surprise on July 26 last by declaring that she will end her 16 years fast demanding repeal of AFSPA to contest the ensuing state assembly election.
Her today’s statement has reaffirmed her early stand to enter the political arena to fight against the Act.
Before this, the CJM court ordered today to release her on bail on a personal bond of 10 thousand rupees. When Sharmila was brought to the Court Complex this morning at around 11 in a tight security environment, mediapersons could not interact her as she has directly entered into the court room. She came out from the court room at around 1:30 in the afternoon and was about to talk to media inside the legal aid clinic inside the court building.
However, she suddenly left the place after experiencing a noisy scene. The media persons, then, followed her. On the verge of leaving the court complex, she told them briefly that she wants to bring about a positive change as Chief Minister of the state.
