In a goodwill gesture, the Border Security Force BSF handed over a Pakistani woman, to Pakistan Rangers who had inadvertently crossed into Indian territory in the Amritsar sector in Punjab.
According to BSF DIG RS Kataria the Pakistani women identified as Nimmoo, hailing from Kila Da Jawar in Pakistan, was apprehended by the BSF troopers on Friday evening in the operation area of border out post Pulmoran in Amritsar sector.
The BSF spokesperson said that the woman, aged around 60, was handed over to Pakistan Rangers on humanitarian grounds. He said, this is the ninth case of inadvertent crossing this year.
