India today accused accused Pakistan of fanning terrorism in the Kashmir valley. On Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif convening a Cabinet meeting to discuss the situation in Kashmir, India External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup said in New Delhi, Pakistan has no locus standi in India’s internal affairs. He also accused Pakistan of infiltrating terrorists and also fanning terrorism in the Kashmir valley.
Responding to a media query, , it is for Pakistan to create atmosphere conducive for talks. He said, talks and terror cannot go hand in hand.
Without naming Pakistan, the spokesperson said, the world has a very clear view as to which country in the region covets territory of others and uses terrorism as an instrument of state policy.
Asked about summoning of Indian High Commissioner by the Pakistan Foreign Office, Mr Swarup said, a demarche was made on him on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir and the High Commissioner had responded that the matter is a domestic issue.
On possibility of unilateral action by China in South China Sea, the spokesperson said, India is against any such action which may cause tension in the area.
On 12th of this month, Permanent Court of Arbitration at Hague had rejected China’s claims to economic rights across large swathes of the South China Sea and upheld the rights of the Philippines over the resources in the sea.
Replying to a query on recent political developments in Nepal, Mr Swarup said it is internal affair of that country. He also rejected the charges that India is behind political upheaval in the Himalayan nation.
