Home Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to move The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 in the Lok Sabha today.
The Union Cabinet had cleared the redrafted Citizenship Amendment Bill, which seeks to provide Indian citizenship to non-Muslims from Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
A Joint Parliamentary Committee examining the bill which was first introduced in Parliament in 2016, presented its report in the Lok Sabha on Monday.
