The death toll in flood and landslide in Nepal has gone up to 91. Twenty five persons have been injured and 38 are missing.
More than 2800 houses have been fully damaged and 3727 other buildings have partially damaged. 26700 personnel including police and army have been deployed for rescue and relief operation.
13 helicopters and number of boats are also being used in rescue and relief work. Meanwhile Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba visited flood affected areas today to take stock of the situation.
He was accompanied by Home Minister Janardan Sharma, Defense Minister Bhimsen Das Pradhan and senior officials. Prime Minister Deuba directed officials not to spare anything while carrying out rescue and relief operations.
The government has also decided to provide two lakh rupees compensation to the families of those killed in the recent floods and landslides.
