A roadside bomb blast has killed eleven people including women and children in eastern Logar province of Afghanistan, today. The provincial governor Mohammad Halim Fedayee said those who died in the blast belonged to same family and were going to attend a wedding ceremony.He said three other people were also injured in the blast.

In another incident, five Afghan policemen were killed today in fighting with the Taliban when they attacked a police checkpoint in eastern Kapisa province in Tagab district. The Provincial Governor said 10 Taliban fighters were also killed, including two commanders.

Earlier, a Policeman shot dead five of his colleagues in eastern Nangarhar province last night. District Governor, Abdul Wahab Momand, said after the shooting, the attacker collected all the victims’ firearms and fled the scene.

Elsewhere in Afghanistan, another roadside bomb targeted a US militarily convoy in northern Parwan province today.The explosion disabled an armored vehicle but caused no injuries.
