Local fishermen have started an indefinite strike in Nagai Nambiar Nagar and Jagadapattinam from Friday demanding immediate release of Tamil fishermen from Sri Lankan custody. The fishermen urge the central government to retrieve the fishing boats detained by Sri Lanka.
