The Income Tax department is conducting raids at the premises of several top bureaucrats across Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.Raids are on at over a dozen places in Lucknow, Meerut, Baghpat, Noida, Ghaziabad and also in Delhi. Official sources said, the raids are being conducted following complaints of corruption and disproportionate assets charges.
The searches were conducted at the residence and official premises of Hriday Shankar Tiwari, Director (Health); Additional CEO Greater NOIDA, Vimal Sharma; his wife Mamta Sharma, who is Road Transport Officer in Meerut; and Satyendra Kumar Singh, Special Secretary prison.
