Gujarat CM today appealed banks to reduce swipe charges to motivate more people to use digital banking services to generate cashless economy.
He was speaking at a workshop organised by Revenue, FD, Agri & Co-operative departments of Government of Gujarat to promote awareness on “Digital Banking and Cashless Payment”.
The workshop was live telecast in around 14,000 villages across the state through video conferencing. CM Rupani said that as the country underwent the world’s biggest currency overhaul of the century, and “Digital Banking” will help strengthen our economy to a great extent.
