Prime Minister and Senior BJP Leader Narendra Modi will be on a three-day visit to Kanyakumari from the 30th of May. Sources said, in Kanyakumari, Mr. Modi will visit the Rock Memorial and meditate at the Dhyan Mandapam, which is the same place where Swami Vivekananda did meditation.

This rock had a major impact on Swami Vivekananda’s life. People believe that like Sarnath holds a special place in the life of Gautam Buddha, this rock also holds a similar place in the life of Swami Vivekananda. It was there that Swami Vivekananda arrived after wandering across the country and meditated for three days and hit upon attained a vision for a developed India.

Meditating at the same place shows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to bringing Swami Vivekanand’s vision of a Viksit Bharat, to life. This is the Southernmost tip of India. Further, this is the place where India’s Eastern and Western coastlines meet. It is also the meeting point of the Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal, and Arabian Sea.

It also shows Mr. Modi’s deep commitment & love for Tamil Nadu that he is visiting the state even after elections are over. The Prime Minister is known to undertake spiritual journeys at the end of election campaigns. In line with this, he will reach Kanyakumari on 30th May. In 2019, he had visited Kedarnath, in 2014 he visited Shivaji’s Pratapgarh.
