Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge today accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of inciting people and dividing society through his election speeches. While addressing a press conference of the INDIA bloc in Mumbai, Mr. Kharge alleged that the Mahayuti government in the state was formed based on betrayal and conspiracy. He further said that the Bharatiya Janata Party not only broke the major parties in Maharashtra but also ensured that the party symbol was given to those who supported the NDA alliance.
Speaking at the same press conference, NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar said that BJP is floating false narratives like associating the INDIA alliance with Pakistan to divert people’s attention from relevant issues like unemployment. Mr. Pawar said that after coming to power, the INDIA bloc government’s duty will be to protect all religious places in the country. Addressing the media persons at the PC, Shiv Sena(UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray attacked the NDA and said they are defaming and cheating the state of Maharashtra. He added that the INDIA bloc would stop the shifting of businesses from Maharashtra and restore the former glory of the state.
