Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that, the new India was a land of opportunities for all and a prominent destination for growth.

In his address at the 56th convocation of the Madras IIT today, he said India was emerging as a big economic power and remains a repertoire of intellectual resources.

He said Indian citizens are marking a stamp of excellence wherever they go in the world, especially in science and technology.

He reiterated that India has one of the best start-up ecosystems in the world and an excellent climate of innovative ideas. Mr Modi said there has been a lot of optimism about the new India, as he has seen in his interactions with leaders of several nations and the business world during his recent US visit.

Prime Minister Modi said innovation, teamwork and technology are the three pillars of the future world. He said India is aspiring to become a five trillion-dollar economy and added that the aspirations of youngsters would significantly contribute to the country achieving the target.

He asked the graduating students to be mindful of their motherland wherever they go and said the nation has a lot to offer to them. He asked them not to stop dreaming and nudged them to compete with themselves every day.

The Prime Minister advised the students to take care of their health by joining the Fit India Movement. He appealed to them to find solutions to tackle health care issues and added that lifestyle diseases are going to pose great challenges to humankind in f
