The commission has warned it will have to approach the Supreme Court if recommendations were not complied with. Conveying its displeasure over non-compliance of its recommendations, NHRC asked the Narendra Modi-led government to pay three lakh rupees each as monetary relief to the next of kin of those who died due to silicosis without any further delay.
