Curfew has already been relaxed in many part of the city on Sunday. However the police are on high alert following a call of bandh given by local VHP leaders.

Police and administration are trying their best to bring the peace in the city yet they are fearful of activities of communal forces. Two persons have been killed in communal clashes here and several other including policemen were injured on Friday.

On Saturday evening, curfew was relaxed in seven police station areas till 8 pm. The relaxations were not given in two sensitive police station areas – the Mahakal and Dewas Gate.

According to I G police Upendra Jain the situation was under control and police were on the lookout for miscreants who were behind the clashes Police have rounded up several people in the connection.

Three companies of Rapid Action Force arrived in the temple town to keep the situation under control. Senior police officials are camping in the town and several rounds of meetings have taken place with leaders of both the communities.

Clashes started here over an argument over installation of a  Ganesh idol near a mosque at Favarra Chowk which took violent turn led to riots at different place of the city.
