Andhra Pradesh police today registered cases against Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekhara Rao and ruling Telangana Rastra Samithi Party for the alleged revealing of telephone conversations between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and a nominated Telangana Legislator, Stephenson. The police have registered cases based on the complaints lodged by the TDP men including Ministers and MLAs.

Cases were registered at various police stations in districts including Krishna, Guntur and Visakhapatnam under sections of IPC and also Telgraph Act. Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao lodged a complaint at Bhavanipuram Police Station in Krishna District. The local circle inspector, Murali Krishna said a case under sector 26 B of Indian Telegraph Act has been registered against Telangana Chief Minister besides TRS party and other senior officials.

Reports are coming in from various districts about booking cases for alleged tapping phone of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Telugu news channel T News which supports TRS government in Telangana and Sakshi TV channel owned by Andhra Pradesh leader of opposition and YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy aired the said audio of AP Chief Minister. The Telugu Desam alleges that the audio tape is the handiwork of TRS government.

Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh Government communication Advisor Prabhakar ruled out the alleged telephone conversation was of the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister. TDP also condemned releasing of false tapes imitating Chandrababu Naidu’s voice.

Meanwhile, Telangana IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao invited Chandrababu Naidu for a open debate over Note for Vote Scam under which a TDP MLA Revanth Reddy and two others were arrested by ACB.
