Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam singh yadav today said Nitish kumar will chief ministerial candidate for forthcoming Bihar polls. Talking to media persons in New Delhi today, Mr Yadav said Lalu Yadav proposed Nitish Kumar’s name for the post. Earlier JD(U) leader Sharad yadav, RJD leader Lalu Prasad and Mulayam Singh Yadav today met in Delhi to discuss the Bihar polls.

Mr. Lalu Prasad clarified that there is no contender for the Chief Minister’s post from his family and the party. Mr. Prasad said he had authorized SP Chief to take a call on CM candidate and RJD respects his decision. He also asked senior party leaders including Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, who had raised voices against Nitish Kumar’s candidature, to work ensuring the alliance victory. When asked about seat-sharing, the RJD leader said the two parties have come together and this issue will also be sorted out soon.

He also alleged that NDA government has failed to fulfill its promises including bringing back black money , giving employment to youths and addressing the farmers’ issues. Sharad Yadav hailed the decision as the need of the hour.
