Congress party today said that it was  trying to form a secular front for upcoming Bihar Assembly election. Briefing media, party leader R P N Singh said Congress is trying to bring secular parties under one umbrella to take on BJP in the polls. Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi yesterday met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to discuss possible alliance between the two parties.

Meanwhile, JD(U) president Sharad Yadav, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and RJD head Lalu Prasad will address media shortly on alliance issue. The names of members of the committee are likely to be announced in the press conference. The committee was set up yesterday to thrash out the issue of seat sharing among the partners. RJD Chief Lalu Prasad is likely to meet Congress President Sonia Gandhi to discuss the issue of alliance for Bihar polls.
