High Court in Bangladesh, today refused to intervene in the ISKCON-related violence issues after being informed that the authorities concerned have taken necessary measures in this regard. The bench of Justice Farah Mahbub and Justice Debasish Roy Chowdhury expressed satisfaction with the government’s response and instructed it to continue efforts to safeguard citizens’ lives and property.

Earlier yesterday, the High Court asked the government to inform the court about its stance regarding the Hindu religious organisation ISKCON, after hearing a writ petition by a private person seeking a ban on ISKCON and issuance of section 144 in Chattogram and Rangpur to ward off any unwanted incident.
