Veteran Akashvani Urdu newsreader Salim Akhtar passes away at 76

The former Urdu newsreader of Akashvani, Salim Akhtar, passed away in New Delhi today, after a brief illness. He was 76. Salim Akhtar was associated with the Urdu unit of the News Services Division of Akashvani for about 25 years.
