The Congress has said there could be no business in the Rajya Sabha today because of the recent political developments in Arunachal Pradesh. Briefing media in New Delhi, party leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said the Central government is using the Governor, who is upholder of the Constitution, for political gains. He alleged that the Centre is trying to destabilize Arunchal Pradesh government.
Replying to a query another spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala clarified that Congress has not called any of its state leaders to Delhi on 19th December. Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi have been asked to appear before a local court in Delhi in National herald case on Saturday. He also said that the party is open to availing all legal remedies and options.
