Syrian regime carried out air strikes on one of the last rebel strongholds near capital Damascus on Sunday, said a human rights monitoring group. The raids come a day after Syrian army declared a ceasefire in parts of the besieged enclave on the outskirts of the capital.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, however, said there was no report of any casualties. More than 330,000 people have been killed in Syria since the conflict broke out in March 2011 with anti-government protests.
