The heat wave conditions in the capital intensified today with the mercury setting a five year record, shooting up to 44. 6 degrees Celsius, highest of this season so far.
The Weatherman said the maximum temperature was the highest for June 4 in the last five years.
The maximum temperature, which was recorded four notches above normal for this time of the season, jumped by two notches as compared with yesterday 42. 6 degrees C.
