Rawalpindi Police has registered a report against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for provoking people against the Pakistan Army and creating hatred against the armed forces.
Pakistan media reports that the one page report was lodged by Advocate Ishtiaq Ahmed Mirza, chairman of the I.M. Pakistan is however, not registered by the police as a First Information Report.
The incident is seen as yet another embarrassment for Sharif. Earlier, the Pakistan Supreme Court on April 20 had ordered the formation of a Joint Investigation Team to probe Nawaz Sharif and his family’s alleged involvement in corruption in the Panama Papers case.
