Most important occasion of Magh Fair -Mauni Amawasya bathing is continued in Sangam of Allahabad. Amidst strict security arrangements in and around Sangam area, thousands of people took holy dip in Sangam and other ghats of Ganga today. The Magh Mela officer told AIR that more than fifty lakh people took dip in Sangam till 12 clock.
Due to favorable weather and coinciding of Somwati Amawasya today, the enthusiasm for today’s bathing is being seen among pilgrims. More than four thousand security personals are also on job in Sangam area.
