More than 62 thousand people have been affected in current flood in Dhemaji and Bongaigaon district in Assam.
Over 1OO villages have been submerged in flood water in 4 revenue circles. Four boats have been deployed in Bongaigaon district for relief and rescue works. Affected people have taken shelter in higher and safer places. Flood water also affected over 3 thousand of crop land. MET department has predicated heavy rainfall at a few isolated places over Assam in the next 24 hours.
