on Governor H R Bhardwaj’s recommendation to impose President’s rule in the state, the Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa Thursday threatened to launch state wide agitation against the Governor if he failed to convene the Assembly Session from June 2.

Chief minister also critcised  Janta Dal (Secular) supremo H D Deve Gowda and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President G Parameshwara for trying to exert pressure on the Governor to dismiss the Government.

Yeddyurappa who Thursday left for Vaishnodevi temple in Jammu will lead a rally against the Governor on Friday morning here. Despite the threat from the Government, Raj Bhavan has no communication about Governor’s clearance about the session.

Congress leaders and worker staged a protest rally demanding that the Centre to act positively on Governor H R Bhardwaj’s recommendation to impose President’s rule in the state. Legislators and party members held a dharna near the Mahatma Gandhi statue in the capital raising slogans against the B S Yeddyurappa government and backing the Governor’s move.
