The ruckus in the Lok Sabha continued on Monday over the incident that took place on Mauni Amavasya in the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. The opposition is demanding the release of the list of people killed in the stampede. Meanwhile, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla expressed displeasure over the opposition party MPs raising slogans in the House and said that if the public has sent them to raise slogans, they should do just that or let the proceedings continue.

In the Lok Sabha when the House met this morning, opposition parties started sloganeering alleging mismanagement at the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said President Droupadi Murmu in her address to the joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament had mentioned the Mahakumbh and members can put their views during the discussion on the motion of thanks. He asked the members to maintain the dignity of the House and allow the House to function. However, Members from Congress, DMK, Samajwadi Party, TMC and others continued with their protest. Amid, in the House took up question hour. Later the opposition members staged a brief walkout from the House.

In the Rajya Sabha, the opposition parties started sloganeering over the issue as soon as the House met for the day. Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar disallowed the adjournment notices moved by the opposition parties over the Mahakumbh incident and other issues. Opposition parties including Congress, Samajwadi Party, Shiv Sena (UBT), RJD and others staged a walkout from the House.
