Power Corporation Limited has been asked to ensure twenty four hours power supply to Government hospitals across Uttar Pradesh. This includes all District hospitals, District Women Hospitals and T.B. Hospitals. U.P. Power Corporation Limited has issued orders in this regard. However, the order will not cover Community Health centers and Primary Health Centers in rural areas. The Managing Director of U.P.P.C.L., A.P. Mishra told that in the first phase eighty four (84) hospitals would be taken up, while twenty four (24) hospitals would be taken up in the second phase.
According to U.P.P.C.L. Chairman Sanjay Agrawal System Control has issued instruction to the regional control rooms regarding twenty four hours supply of power to the hospitals. He told that separate feeders are being allocated to the hospitals for this purpose. There are twenty one government hospitals which will soon have separate feeders. Eighty four government hospitals to be covered in the first phase, have a 33 K.V. power supply routed through 132 K.V. sub stations.
