Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Governments have decided to forget the disputes and issues relating to river water sharing and work towards getting optimum benefit to the people of both the states.

Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at a high-level meeting in Hyderabad asked officials to prepare strategies to divert water from River Godavari to Srisailam Project, on Krishna River to benefit people in both the states.

They asked them to submit a report by July 15th. This is the first official meeting after both the Chief Ministers decided to sort out all the issues amicably across the table amid cordial atmosphere.
