Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said some people are misusing Parliament to stop the pace of country’s growth. Addressing BJP Parliamentary Party meeting in New Delhi , Mr Modi praised Samajwadi party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for his efforts and other political parties helping to break logjam in Parliament.
Briefing media after the meeting, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Pratap Rudy said, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has informed that Goods and Services Tax Bill will be brought before the Rajya Sabha for its passage.
He said, Mr Jaitley expressed the hope that all parties will support the bill which is in the interest of country’s economic growth. Mr Rudy said, it was also decided in the meeting that all the ruling party MPs will promote the social schemes launched by the government during the last one year.
