Rajasthan government has handed over the probe of mining scam to the Lokayukta yesterday. State Government also revoked the leases of over 600 mines that were issued during the tenure of former principal secretary of mines, Ashok Singhvi, who has been arrested and jailed on charges of bribery in allotment of mines.

“Voice Cast-Government handed over the cases to the Lokayukta for independent probe into the allotment of mining leases on a first come, first serve basis. Chief Minitser Vasundhra Raje had requested Governor Kalyan Singh for a fair probe into any irregularities in the sanctioning of Mines. On the request of government Governor Kalyan Singh has issued orders for investigation.
