President Droupadi Murmu has greeted people on the eve of Chaitra Sukladi, Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, Cheti Chand, Navreh and Sajibu Cheiraoba. In her message, she said that these festivals are the occasions to welcome the spring season and Indian New Year. President said, these festivals, celebrated in different parts of the country, spread the message of peace, harmony and tolerance. She said, these festivals are symbols of the country’s rich culture and heritage and people express their gratitude to nature on these occasions.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has also greeted people on the eve of Ugadi, Gudi Padava, Cheti Chand, Chaitra Shukladi, Navreh and Sajibu Cheiraoba. Mr Dhankhar said, celebrated by different names but with the same joy at its core, these festivals mark the beginning of the traditional New Year in various corners of our the nation, symbolizing hope, prosperity and renewal.

As the nation embrace these festive occasions, the Vice president called upon people to reflect on the spirit of unity in diversity that defines the fabric of Bharat. He hoped that this New Year will bring prosperity, happiness and good health to the lives of all.
