Briefing the media here, Corporate Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid said that India had been repeatedly bringing this to the notice of the neighbouring country and now it has been confirmed by the hearing of David Headley on foreign soil. At the on-going trial in the United States, Headley told the Chicago court on Monday that the Pakistani spy agency and its operatives like Major Iqbal and LeT founder Hafiz Saeed had helped him in laying the groundwork for the Mumbai attacks.
Khurshid said Union Home Minister P Chidambaram had again and again told Pakistani authorities about the actors involved in the attack. Headley had yesterday told a Chicago court how he took the guidance of ISI officer Major Iqbal and his LeT handler Sajid Mir in plotting the minute details of the 26/11 attack.
Mr Khurshid said, New Delhi feels re-assured by the revelations and hopes that justice will be done to the people of India, who suffered the most brutal acts of terrorism. Health minister Ghulam Nabi Azad who was sitting behind it however said that a formal statement on Headley revelation would be issued by the home ministry in course of time
