Speaking in the latest edition of, Mann ki Baat programme on All India Radio, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi today declared that there would be no interviews for Non Gazetted posts for Group B, C and D starting from 1st January next year.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi said all process for this has been completed.
Earlier, Prime minister during his Independence Day speech at Red Fort had asked all departments to end practice of interviews to promote transparency in recruitment. The Prime minister said government is going to launch Gold Monetisation Scheme before this Diwali. He said under this scheme, customers can deposit their gold and earn interest .
He said the government is also bringing Sovereign Gold Bond and India gold coins of 5gm and 10gm bearing Ashok Chakra.
Urging people to celebrate birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31st of this month by participating in the Run for Unity, the Prime Minister said this Run is for Development.
The Prime minister said he is going to United Kingdom to inaugurate the memorial where Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar statyed in London. Mr Modi said that place will inspire future generations. Giving stress on Swach Bharat Mission, Mr Modi said when the country will be celebrating 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in 2019, all countrymen would boast that country is garbage free. He also complimented media for their efforts towards a clean India.
Advocating strongly for Organ donations, he said to promote organ transplant, the government has established National Organ And Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO). He said already 24×7 Helpline 1800114770 is in service.
Highlighting the work done by Members of Parliament under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, the Prime minister lauded the efforts of Jharkhand’s Karia Munda, C L Ruala from Mizoram and Ashok Gajapati Raju from Andhra Pradesh. Mr Modi said these Parliamentarians worked very hard to bring literacy, development and prosperity in their respective adopted villages.
The Prime Minister said country is hosting India- Africa Forum Summit starting tomorrow. Saying India and Africa share very deep relations, Mr Modi said the summit is very important as 54 nations are participating in it.
The Prime Minister also lauded the efforts of All India Radio for broadcasting Maan Ki Baat in every state in regional languages.
