The latest in the chacha-bhatija tussle in the Samajwadi Party is that Mulayam Singh Yadav has broken his silence on the Akhilesh-Shivpal feud, addressing party workers he said there can be no division in the party, till he is there.
He added that given the Yadav family was a large one, differences can occur. He however stressed that there are no differences between Akhilesh and Shivpal Yadav.
He defended sacked minister Gayatri Prajapati, and indicated that he will be taken back in the Akhilesh Cabinet. Mulayam Singh faulted some party members who spoke to the media.
He called on the party to work unitedly for elections in the state next year. He added that he would ask Akhilesh to go to Shivpal Yadav’s residence to meet him. This comes after Mulayam Singh rejected Shivpal Yadav’s resignation as Party President.
After his dramatic resignation from party and cabinet posts, Shivpal on Friday told his supporters that he was with party supremo Mulayam Singh and would do as he said.
