Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan today visits the Petlaved blast site. Initially Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan faced the heat of anger on his arrival at Petlaved. Later interacting with locals Chief Minister assured every possible help to the affected people. He announced an increase in compensation amount and declared an ex-gratia of 10 lakh rupees each to the deceased family. Talking to the injured and family members of the persons who died in yesterday’s mishap, he said that state government will bear all the expenses incurred in the treatment and other medical assistance. He reiterated that on the findings of the judicial probe, government will take stern action against the culprits.

Meanwhile, police have sealed 6 godowns on subspecies of storing illegal explosives.Teams of forensic experts were dispatched from Indore and Dhar to speed up the investigations.

More than 90 people were killed and about 150 injured in the blast triggered by mining explosives in Jhabua district on Saturday. State government has already announced a judicial inquiry into the matter.

Police have launched a manhunt to arrest the person who stored a huge pile of explosives for mining work in a building which triggered off a series of explosions killing 90 people and injuring over 150 at Petlawad town.

Petlawad Sub-Divisional Officer of Police A R Khan said that they have booked Rajendra Kasawa under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. He said that Police have carried out searches at some places to arrest Kasawa. After the explosion yesterday, Kasawa and his family members fled from their residence. Police have sealed his place where the explosive material was stored.
