The budget session of the Kerala Assembly begun today, with the customary address of the Governor. The budget will be presented on Feb 2nd. The session, 9th of the current House, will go on for 11 days, of which three days each have been kept for debate on the governor’s policy declaration and the budget.
Bills to replace ordinances will be considered on two days which have been marked for government business. On January 23, the House will adjourn after expressing condolence over the demise of MLA KK Ramachandran Nair and former minister E Chandrasekharan Nair. The session will get over on February 7.
