At least 52 people were killed after a bus they were travelling in caught fire in the Aktau region in Kazakhstan today. The Interior Ministry said in a statement that only 5 passengers managed to escape the vehicle.
The statement said, it is still unclear whether the passengers were Kazakh nationals or citizens from another country.
Local media, however, said the bus was believed to have been carrying Uzbek citizens to or from Russia. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
