Witnesses changed stand after Modi became PM, he says

OWAISIShocked over the verdict in the sensational Mecca Masjid bomb blast case of 2007, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi today alleged that several prosecution witnesses changed their stand and turned hostile be after Narendra Modi-led NDA government came to power at the Centre.

On Monday, Asaduddin Owaisi tweeted that “most of the witnesses changed their stand since June, 2014. The NIA didn’t take forward the case in an expected manner. ‘Political Gurus’ didn’t allow the NIA inquiry forward.

Justice was not done in the case”. In a series of tweets, Owaisi said the NIA and Modi-led government did not even appeal against the bail given to the accused within 90 days. The witnesses could not give cogent and convincing statements. “Our fight against terrorism was weakened with today’s acquittals,” he said.
