Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, BL Verma is on a day visit to Garhwa district under the Aspirational District programme (ADP). During his visit, he chaired a review meeting with all the district officials of various welfare programmes and schemes. Mr Verma said that the central government is taking all possible measures to ensure the all-round development of the Garhwa district under ADP. He instructed the officials to remove the shortcomings and deliver all the public welfare schemes of the Central and State Governments to their rightful recipients. Mr Verma also directed to ensure proper assistance to the needy and poor for the timely distribution of food grains under the PDS system.
