Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said, Jerusalem will re-assess its ties with the United Nations following a resolution by the Security Council to end Israeli settlement building on occupied Palestinian territory.

Mr Netanyahu said, Israel will not abide by the decision describing it as biased and shameful. He said, it will take time, but the decision will be annulled.

The Egyptian-drafted resolution had, earlier, been withdrawn after Israel asked US President-elect Donald Trump to intervene, but it was proposed again by Malaysia, New Zealand, Senegal and Venezuela and was passed on Friday after the US refused to veto it. Palestine has said, the resolution was a big blow to the Israeli policy.
