India’s foreign exchange reserves jumped by a healthy 2.263 billion US Dollars to 353.069 billion dollars in the week ended 9th October. A RBI release said, foreign currency assets, a major part of the overall reserves, grew by 2.222 billion dollars to 329.517 billion dollars. In the previous week, the reserves had increased by 827.4 million to 350.805 billion dollars.

The gold reserves remained unchanged at 18.151 billion dollars in the reporting week. India’s special drawing rights with the International Monetary Fund rose by 30.4 million dollars to touch 4.077 billion dollars. India’s reserve position with the International Monetary Fund also grew by 10.5 million dollars to 1.321 billion dollars.
