The Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla today celebrated its 55th Foundation Day at Pool Theatre of the Institute, . The Foundation Day was presided over by Union Education Minister, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ through the webinar.
During the event, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ addressed and congratulated the whole IIAS staff for their 55th Foundation Day Celebration. He said, this institute is a proud crown of India & the government is standing with full support to take this institute ahead.
During his speech, he emphasized to make India ‘Vishvaguru’ through Imparting and implementing ‘New Education Policy 2020’. He said, New Education Policy will help us to achieve those goals and emphasized that the Institute will take New Education Policy at higher levels through research. The Minister said, We have to make India self-reliant, strong and great.
During the event, Dr. Yogendra Nath ‘Arun delivered the Foundation Day lecture on ‘New Education Policy 2020’.He said in the new education policy the main focus is to promote the rich Indian culture, religion, art through national, local and regional languages.
He stated that it is a great surprise that more than 2.5 Lakh Gram Panchayats, 6600 Block Panchayat and 676 District Panchayat were consulted to frame New Education Policy,2020.
New Education Policy 2020 is the first real National Education Policy in India whose main aim is to make India great while restoring or adopting the great lost Indian Knowledge system.
On this occasion the 21st issue of Institute’s Hindi magazine Himanjali was also launched.
