The Centre today extended the visa of Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen for one year. Home Ministry sources said, she has been allowed to stay in India till August 2016.
Ms Nasreen has been living in exile since 1994. She left Bangladesh in 1994 after receiving death threats from Islamic fundamentalists who claimed her works, especially ‘Lajja’, were meant to insult their religion.
