The Allahabad High court has stayed issuing of appointment letter by Uttar Pradesh government, to 4010 successful candidates of police sub-inspector post for Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) and Civil Police.
While hearing a petition, the Court stayed the appointment letter after prime facie noticing that several candidates have been selected in general category taking benefit of horizontal reservation category.
The order has been passed by Justice Suneet Kumar on a writ petition filed by Ashish Pandey and others. While passing the interim order, the court directed ADG Police Recruitment Board to file his affidavit by August 24th by making corrections in the irregularities made in the selection process.
