The Government has constituted a three member team to assess the situation over the student protest in Film and Television Institute of India, FTII in Pune. officials sources in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said the team will be headed by the Registrar of Newspapers, (RNI) S M Khan.

They also informed that the team will visit Pune tomorrow. Earlier the police had arrested five students from the campus on charges of rioting and other offences after a group of striking students gheraoed FTII Director Prashant Pathrabe. Police has lodged an FIR against 15 students. The students have been on strike for the last 69 days against the appointment of BJP member and TV actor Gajendra Chauhan as the chairman of the institute.
